Hazel Wood graduated from McGill University with a BSc in occupational therapy and with an MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management. She is a member (#9301716) in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She is registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT). She was an active participant on the OSOT Auto Insurance Sector Team. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Brain Injury Association. As Executive Director of Bone and Joint Decade Canada, Hazel assumed a leadership role in the National Hip and Knee Strategy; in recognition of her contributions she was appointed Ambassador of the International Bone and Joint Decade. Hazel has been a health care manager and clinician in hospital and community settings working with adults, adolescents, and children with a variety of conditions. Since 2000, she has employed occupational therapists and other health professionals through Rehab Results Inc. She is internationally certified in Impairment and Disability Rating with the American Board of Forensic Professionals, is a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner (#0082) since 2011 under the International Commission on Health Care Certification and is a Roy Matheson Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist. She successfully completed The Arthritis Society Training Program for assessing arthritis. She has successfully completed Levels 1 and 2 Brain Injury Certification Courses offered by Brock University in association with the Ontario Brain Injury Association. She is certified in both BrainFx and Cogmed Working Memory Training.
