Tracy Wingate, O.T.R./L., C.L.C.P., F.I.A.L.C.P., C.C.M. is the owner/president of an area-wide rehabilitation company specializing in Medical Life Care Plans and Expert Witness Testimony. Tracy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. She has 35 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working clinically with a variety of diagnosis including Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Burns, Traumatic Upper Extremity Injuries, Orthopedics, Cerebral Vascular Accidents and Amputations. She works in conjunction with multiple physicians in the Kansas City area. She provides Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Independent Living Assessments. Additional expertise includes adult rehabilitation, cognitive remediation, driving evaluations, functional capacity evaluations, job analysis and work hardening. Tracy has served the Occupational Therapy profession at the state and national level as a Life Care Planning liaison and speaker. Her background and scope of practice as an Occupational Therapist includes a functional assessment to as part of her methodology in preparing a Life Care Plan. Tracy was the Medical Rehabilitation Manager for Fortis Corporation where she directed the case management services for injured workers for a 3-state area of a national company. She has 31 years of catastrophic case management experience. She has been a Certified Life Care Planner since it’s inception in 1996 as well as a Certified Disability Management Specialist and Certified Case Manager. In addition, she is one of 14 Fellows with the International Academy of Life Care Planners. The fellow program recognizes those life care planners who have achieved a high level of skill and who use their skills and knowledge to promote the advancement of life care planning. She has completed over 700 comprehensive Life Care Plans.
